“This is not just a dream come true for me, but also my family, friends and my current team Huon-Genesys team mates.”
Huon Salmon Genesys Wealth Advisers Pro Cycling Team prides itself on providing a pathway for cyclists to reach the top echelon of international cycling. Today the team is thrilled to announce that Nathan Earle will continue the graduation of riders from Huon-Genesys to the World Tour through his recent signing with Team SKY.
Nathan has seen Richie Porte, Will Clarke, Nathan Haas and Steele Von Hoff all progress before him and now it’s his turn to move onwards and upwards. To be doing so with ex Huon-Genesys team mate and fellow Tasmania Richie Porte makes it just that bit sweeter.
“It’s a dream come true, it won’t sink in until later this year or even next year I imagine. But to ride with Richie again after so many years will be awesome.”
Nathan’s history is plagued with many setbacks but this achievement is a testament to his persistence and a just reward for his impeccable work ethic. Nathan is adamant, however, that none of this would have been possible without the sacrifice of those around him.
“They have been by my side through all the ups and downs and never doubted me. There’s no doubt in my mind that without them I would not be writing about this now! In particular I would like to thank team managers Andrew Christie-Johnston and Steve Price, my girlfriend Kat and my mum and dad.”
So we thank our headline sponsors Huon Salmon, Genesys Wealth Advisers and Avanti Bikes for their support. Without their generosity none of this would be possible. To our remaining sponsors and supporters we would also like to express our appreciation. And finally, from everyone involved with the team, we wholeheartedly wish Nathan the best of luck for his World Tour career.
