Giacoppo Makes It Three In A Row #TOGSC13

AJ continued his strong run of form in stage five of this years Tour of The Great South Coast when he took his third stage in a row in the morning 40km Port Fairy Criterium. Despite a dangerous late break containing Ben Grenda (Polygon), Gordon McCauly (Drapac), Cam Bayly (S2R) and Nathan Elliot (Campolina) at the bell it was all back together with AJ streaking clear to record another great win.

The stage six road stage didn’t go to plan with a strong group pulling clear without third placed overall Pat Shaw in it. Luckily Jack Haig and Tom Robinson made the move but they were badly outnumbered and could only hope the the mainfield would bring it back.

Race leader Sam Horgan pulled a clever move and made it into the group which was quickly putting time into the peleton. In the finish the race was one by mountaion biker Luke Fetch (Seight) over Ben Grenda (Polygon) and George Tansley (Euride). Jack now sits in 6th 1.48 down on race leader Horgan.
